Join us for an 18km circular trail run on a undulating route around Goring-on-Thames.

Goring is a picturesque village on the River Thames and sits about an hour West of London in the Chiltern Hills.

It's well known for walking routes and nice pubs, so it's about time we went to check it out.

How to register

It's £10 plus £15 if you require return train travel from London Paddington.

During the run will have a few water stops to allow everyone to take a breather and keep the group together.



The route is 18km on undulating trails to the west side of Goring following the ridgeway path.

We will be running on a mixture country lanes, dirt trail and woodland, all good quality and not too technical.

The route has ~350 metres of elevation, with a good climb near the beginning which gives some great views across the countryside and a epic descent at the finish taking us down and across the Thames.

From London Paddington we will be taking the 9:36, changing at Reading and arriving into Goring & Streatly at 10:33.


We will depart on the 13:59 changing again at Reading to arrive back at Paddington for 15:05.

N.B. You are welcome to make your own travel arrangements and meet us at the start point.


If you are travelling by train please take advantage of our GroupSave discount by purchasing them when you register for the run.


Please bring water, along with a gel (or something sugary) in case you run out of energy.

We will finish the run at The John Barleycorn for refreshments, we will aim to get there by 12:45, giving us an hour for lunch and a pint.

The walk back to the station is 5 minutes from this pub.

If you won't be joining us for refreshments you can board the earlier train at 13:02.

Chris is an ultra-runner and founder of Runaway Adventures.

He has completed a number of long distance events, most recently the Lofoten Ultra Trail (50 miles) in Norway.

Chris is certified as a Fell/Trail Leader in Running Fitness and is Outdoor First Aid trained.
