Greensand Country Festival guided trail run

After the success of last year's guided run we're back for another tour around the Greensand Country.

Join us for a 10 mile group run around Biggleswade Common, River Ivel, The Lodge and parts of the Greenwheel.

The run will start and finish at Biggleswade Station and will be run at an intermediate social pace.

The run will be a mixture of locals and Londoners, everyone is welcome.

You will receive an email prior to the run confirming all the details and specific meeting points.

Route

This is a 10 mile circular route starting and finishing at Biggleswade train station.

We will follow the trail through Biggleswade Common and up to The Lodge (RSPB Nature Reserve) and then back down the River Ivel to take us back home.

Travel

Rail

You can travel with the Runaway Adventures team from Kings Cross station boarding the 09:13 train to Biggleswade (42 mins).

Departures back into London depart at 20 minutes past the hour. We will aim for the 13:20 or 14:20.

If you are travelling to/from Kings Cross then take advantage of our GroupSave discount by purchasing your train tickets when you sign up for the run.

Driving

If you're driving you can park at Biggleswade Station or on surrounding roads.

Refreshments

After the run we will head to George's Hall pub near the station for some refreshments. Do join us.

Tim Mills

Chiltern Hills trail guide

Chilterns local Tim has a background in teaching & coaching as well as holding awards in athletics & orienteering.

He began running seriously 5 years ago after the birth of his first child, starting with 5k/10k local road races to lose a few extra pounds. Shortly after he signed up for his first trail marathon, deciding that's where running should taking place!

Now his mission is to convert everyone he meets to the beauty of the trails.

Chris Bradley

Founder, Runaway Adventures

Chris is an ultra-runner and founder of Runaway Adventures.

He has completed a number of long distance events, most recently the Lofoten Ultra Trail (50 miles) in Norway.

Chris is certified as a Fell/Trail Leader in Running Fitness and is Outdoor First Aid trained.
