Part two of our Icknield Way series takes us to some of our favourite trails. This route winds its way for 20km from Wendover to Tring.

The route is a 20km run following the Icknield Way trail from Wendover to Tring.

We will be boarding the 09:57 from London Marylebone which arrives into Wendover at 10:45.


Trains back to London from Tring depart at 14/35 minutes past the hour.


If you are travelling from London you will need to purchase an off-peak single journey to Wendover & an off-peak single journey back to London from Tring.

The cost for both tickets with a group discount is £17.40. You can select this option when registering for the run.


For those that need to return to their cars in Wendover, we can organise a taxi ride back to the start, however you will need to split the cost between passengers.

We will send out an email prior to the run checking how many people would like to to this, and therefore how much it will cost.


The run will finish at Musette, a brilliant new cycling/running cafe in Aldbury.

Please join us for a drink and/or some lunch.

Chris is an ultra-runner and founder of Runaway Adventures.

He has completed a number of long distance events, most recently the Lofoten Ultra Trail (50 miles) in Norway.

Chris is certified as a Fell/Trail Leader in Running Fitness and is Outdoor First Aid trained.

Chilterns local Tim has a background in teaching & coaching as well as holding awards in athletics & orienteering.

He began running seriously 5 years ago after the birth of his first child, starting with 5k/10k local road races to lose a few extra pounds. Shortly after he signed up for his first trail marathon, deciding that's where running should taking place!

Now his mission is to convert everyone he meets to the beauty of the trails.
