We will finish the run at a local pub/cafe in Saunderton for a drink/lunch (venue TBC).


Starting out at Saunderton Station we head through the woods towards West Wycombe and Hell fire caves. After this we make our way up towards Hughenden Manor before turning back in the direction of Bradenham Manor.

In all the route is 10 miles long with 300m of elevation and takes in three National Trust estates.

What to bring?


It is essential to carry water and recommended to bring a gel (or something sugary) for extra energy.

We will have a number of stops on route to allow you to catch a breather and have a drink.


We do not have a bag drop so please bring only what you can run with. Please wear trail running shoes and bring a warm layer for after. For a full list click here.

By train:

We will be travelling on the 09:13 train from London Marylebone which arrives into Saunderton at 09:55.

By car:

For drivers the postcode for the start location is HP14 4LJ.


Trains back to Marylebone depart at 50 past the hour. We will aim to get on the 13:50.

Chilterns local Tim has a background in teaching & coaching as well as holding awards in athletics & orienteering.

He began running seriously 5 years ago after the birth of his first child, starting with 5k/10k local road races to lose a few extra pounds. Shortly after he signed up for his first trail marathon, deciding that's where running should taking place!
