Fuel

It is essential to carry water and recommended to bring a gel (or something sugary) for extra energy.

We will have a number of stops on route to allow you to catch a breather and have a drink.

South Downs trail guide

South Downs local Mark has a background in continuous improvement, has been a successful bodybuilder and written Amazon Bestselling book "The Diary of an Average Runner".

He began running seriously 4 years ago after realising his corporate lifestyle was becoming too comfortable and his health was suffering. He started a 5km training plan and within a year ran his first ultra marathon!

Over time he has realised it's not the distance that makes him enjoy running, but the location, slowing down and enjoying time with others.

Mark is currently enjoying his mountain racing and visiting some fabulous locations home and abroad.
