Guildford is just half an hour train from London and fully immersed in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This route will bring us through some of its most popular spots. We will run along the River Wey, through the Chantry Wood, up to St. Martha's hill and the Newlands Corner where we will enjoy stunning view of the Hills and surrounding villages

During the run will have a few water stops to allow everyone to take a breather and keep the group together.

The route will be a 16km circular run, with 97% on trail.

From Guilford we will run along the River Wey, through the Chantry Wood, up to St. Martha's hill and the Newlands Corner where we will enjoy stunning view of the Hills and surrounding villages

Arriving

From London Waterloo we will be taking the 09:15 which arrives into Guildford at 10:12.

Departing

We will aim to get the 13:35 or 14:05 train from back into Waterloo.


N.B. You are welcome to make your own travel arrangements and meet us at the start point.

Tickets

If you are travelling by train please take advantage of our GroupSave discount by purchasing them when you register for the run.

Refreshment/Lunch

Please bring water, along with a gel (or something sugary) in case you run out of energy.


We will finish the run at the The Weyside for lunch (500m from train station). Please join us for a well earned drink and bite to eat.

Surrey Hills trail guide

Michele start running 4 years ago as a way to keep fit, but now it is much more than that.

Michele runs for passion and uses running as a way to explore cities and the outdoors. He frequently enters races but believes the most important competition is to always challenge himself on new trails.

He lives and runs in the Surrey Hills, almost always alone, but now wants to show others the magic routes he's discovered.

Chris is an ultra-runner and founder of Runaway Adventures.

He has completed a number of long distance events, most recently the Lofoten Ultra Trail (50 miles) in Norway.

Chris holds a Outdoor First Aid certificate.
