White Cliffs of Dover (30km)

This is a 30km (18.5 mile) group trail run from Folkestone to Deal along the South Coast, passing through Dover.

We will be traveling by train to Folkestone and running East along the Coastal paths to our finish point in Deal.

This is a longer run than usual and would act as perfect training for any upcoming trail marathon/ultra.

You can travel with the Runaway team from St Pancras station boarding the 09:37 arriving in Folkestone at 10:30.

If you are travelling to/from St Pancras then take advantage of our GroupSave discount by purchasing your train tickets when you sign up for the run.

If you are buying your own ticket an off-peak day return to Deal will cover both journeys.


If you drive to Folkestone then you can get the train back from Deal, journey time is around 30 minutes.


If the weather is good we will finish the run at the Seafront in Deal and enjoy some Fish & Chips on the beach.

If the weather is rubbish we will make plans to eat inside somewhere.

Chris is an ultra-runner and founder of Runaway Adventures.

He has completed a number of long distance events, most recently the Lofoten Ultra Trail (50 miles) in Norway.

Chris is certified as a Fell/Trail Leader in Running Fitness and is Outdoor First Aid trained.
